Dutchess County Fair Employment Center
The Employment Center refers to persons interested in working for the Dutchess County Fair departments and concessionaires. Fair-time staff begins work on the opening day of the fair unless otherwise stipulated by the manager of that department. The Employment Center staff will work to help find a position that best suits your skills and talents. However, there is no guarantee that a position will be available for every applicant.
Fair-time Employment Opportunities
Available fair-time positions may include ticket takers, ticket sellers, parking attendants, retail sales, clean team, grounds crew, security, etc. We do not post specific fair-time jobs on our website as the availability changes frequently. Note: the number of applicants exceeds the number of jobs available.
- 14 & 15-year-old applicants must have BLUE NYS working papers
- 16 & 17-year-old applicants must have GREEN NYS working papers
- Applicants must be available to work all 6 days of the fair
- There is no guarantee that applicants will be referred to a job or get hired
- Security Positions: Must be 18yrs or older. NYS Certified applicants only
Download the Employment Application and submit a completed application to the Employment Office. You will need to visit the office in person, to complete employment forms upon acceptance of your application.
Absolutely no applications will be accepted after August 14th.

The Employment Center is in the Administration Building located on the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.

July 5 to August 14: Mon–Fri 9AM-4PM
